Healthy Hummus Recipe

I just love eating hummus. I finally found a recipe in the newest Gooseberry Patch Cookbook, Big Book of Home Cooking that was perfect. Do you like hummus? How do you eat it?

Ingredients

3 green onions, slicked
4 cloves garlic, chopped
15 1/2 oz can chickpeas
2 tablespoons vegetable broth
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
carrot sticks or toasted pita wedges

Directions

Combine all ingredients except carrots & pita chips into a food processor; process until smooth. Serves 2-4.

  2. I have never made my own hummus, but I do love it! I'm not sure I could top my favorite hummus (I get it from a local deli), but it would be fun to try my own. Thanks!
