Healthier Drink Recipes with 20% Less Guilt #IC #FlightSongResolutions #sponsored

We are almost one month down in 2015. How are all of your new year resolutions going for you? What goals and resolutions did you make this year? Almost everyone I know personally has at least one healthy related resolution which includes exercising more, eating healthier, cutting out soda and dropping 20 or more pounds. Do any of these resolutions sound like some of yours?
I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Brancott Estate Flight Song. I received product samples and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

 I use to be that person who would set a goal to weigh less by the following new year. I would also wish it on my birthday to weigh less the next year. Up to 2012 those resolutions and wishes never came true. As of matter of fact as each year went by, I would be heavier, not lighter. Did this only happen to me? Can anyone else relate? Late winter/early spring of 2012 I set out to live a healthier lifestyle.  I did not set a specific goal or resolution, I just told myself that I will walk off my weight and be healthier by eating not so healthy foods. So from 2012 through today I'm down 100 pounds. I've learned to not have a set number but to continue, day by day to get stronger and healthier.

 It feels good to be in the 3rd week of January and not have any broken resolutions. Have you stuck with yours or did you break some? Did you know that after one week, 75% of people have broken their resolutions. This is because resolutions are set, most seem realistic but they aren't if a plan isn't created to keep accountable for actions to reach the set resolutions.

 If cutting back calories, even 20% less in every day eating is a goal or a resolution it can be done with a plan. The plan is a lifestyle change that allows you to still be serious about your goals but to remember that you still have to live and enjoy life. With this in mind, Brancott Estate was the first to plant and create the world's first Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc wine with 20% lower in calories without changing the taste or quality. This product has since changed the course of our country's wine industry. By doing this, the Brancott Estate Flight Song wine will allow you to keep your healthy resolutions and have fun doing it!

 Would you be willing to try a wine that has 20% less calories than similar selections of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio? I was skeptical that a company could create a pleasant wine by cutting out the calories. I do not like to over indulge and drink my calories but for special occasions it is acceptable and especially at a 20% less calorie savings! I took on the challenge and participate in this product sampling of the Brancott Estate Flight Song wines. 

 I have to say that I was most impressed with the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio wines. I knew that they were less calorie but did not tell anyone at our Christmas Day meal. Guess what? No one noticed and everyone liked the wine. It was so refreshing to have a glass of wine or two without the guilt. 

 I love adding fruit to my wine and had the extra options for my guest. We had blueberries, pomegranates, strawberries, cranberries, mint, basil, and blackberries which could all be added to the glasses of wine. This is perfect for a dinner, night time "wine" down, and even with pre dinner appetizers. 

 Can you see yourself trying out the Flight Song wines? If you like wine this is a great one to try and will help you keep within your calorie goal for the day. Even if you do indulge, know that you are saving 20% in calories.

Summer Sweet Tea Recipes

Bring out the drinks and throw a party! Summer is a great time to entertain especially outdoors. Keep entertaining easy and serve snack recipes and quick sweet tea drinks. I love easy and pre made iced teas are great for mixing with fruits and fruit juices. Here are two summer drink recipes to wet your whistle! 



FESTIVI-TEA COSMOPOLITAN 
Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

 1 bottle 100% Natural Lipton® Iced Tea with Pomegranate Blueberry
3 Tbsp. cranberry juice cocktail
3 Tbsp. orange juice
1 Tbsp. lime juice

Directions

 1-Combine all the ingredients in an ice-filled container. 
2-Stir well and pour into chilled martini glasses. 

Tip: For an adult version, replace the orange juice with 2 Tbsp. vodka and 2 Tbsp. orange liqueur.

 Finish dinner with this treat.
When your meal is complete, mix up and enjoy the perfect creamy complement.

DAZZLING CREAMY DESSERT DRINK
5 servings 
Prep time: 5 minutes
Stand time: 10 minutes
Ingredients

 1 bottle 100% Natural Lipton Iced Tea with Pomegranate Blueberry
1-1/2 cups half and half
3 Tbsp. firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. finely chopped fresh ginger
2 sprigs mint, large 
Directions

 1-In a medium pitcher, crush mint with wooden spoon against side of pitcher to bruise. 
2-Add 100% Natural Lipton Iced Tea with Pomegranate Blueberry, half and half, brown sugar and ginger; stir until well blended. 
3-Let stand 10 minutes; remove mint springs.
4-Pour into ice filled glasses and garnish, if desired, with additional mint leaves. 

Tip: For a delicious cocktail, stir in 1/2 cup vodka.

White Citrus Sangria and 9 Favorite Tea Recipes

Summer is Iced Tea time! I love a refreshing glass of iced tea. Most of the time I drink black or green tea but always up for trying flavored tea drinks. I love these two iced tea recipes by Lipton. They will truly cool you off this summer. Besides these 2 Lipton recipes I'm also sharing some of my favorite tea recipes from other bloggers. How do you like your tea?

Did you know that National Iced Tea Day is celebrated on June 10th? I didn't know that either. I celebrate iced day day whenever I can. I love that tea can be the base for many drink and food recipes.

Check out these two delicious concoctions from Lipton. They would fit perfectly in any summer party! Treat your family and friends to a refreshing drink!

  
WHITE CITRUS SANGRIA

 Ingredients

1 bottle 100% Natural Lipton Green Tea with Citrus
1-3/4 cups white grape juice
1/4 cup orange juice
1 orange, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
1 lime, sliced

 Directions

1-Combine Lipton 100% Natural Diet Green Tea with Citrus and juices in large pitcher. 
2-Stir in fruit. 
3-Chill at least 2 hours. 
4-Serve in ice-filled glasses. 
Optional alcohol: Replace grape juice with white wine.
  

 STRAWBERRY AÇAI DAQUIR-TEA

 Ingredients

4 oz Lipton Strawberry Acai Tea & Honey mix
½ oz Pineapple Juice
Splash Grenadine
1 Strawberry, for garnish

 Directions

1-Combine and shake all ingredients together.
2-Strain into an iced Collins glass and garnish with a Strawberry
Optional alcohol: Rum

Easy Way to Cut a Mango and 9 Favorite Mango Recipes

My family loves mangos. I love mango juice and fun, tropical mango drinks. I do not have a lot of mango recipes because we just eat them straight up or tossed into smoothies. Do you have any favorite mango recipes? Here is an easy way to cut a mango and some recipes of mine and other foodie friends. These recipes are all on my to make list this summer. Before I tell you how I cut my mango I want you to know that I started blogging my recipes so that I could have them written down with photos for my daughters. Back when I started blogging I didn't even know that others would come to my blog and enjoy them, too! So thank you for being here and I hope that you have found some tasty new recipes to try.

I was inspired to do this post because my 15 year old had no clue how to cut a mango. I also know that my older daughter is getting married and she does look at my blog for recipes. So this is to help them and hopefully help you!

 Easy Way To Cut a Mango

1- Lay the mango down on the cutting board and cut a large section off the side. I usually cut about 1/4 of an inch from the bottom or top end. As I slice into it I let me knife flow around the seed. You can't cut the seed.

2- Do the same with the other side.

3. Put the flesh part right side up and cut 1 inch strips across mango and turn and do it again. I then take my knife and cut close to the skin to remove the pieces. This is how I get the chunks.

4. I then stand up the mango and cut off the side flesh around the seed. Do this for both sides and then remove the flesh and cut into chunks.

5. If there is flesh left on the seed, eat it off! The kids like this part, too.

 Ingredients
Skinny Latte Macchiato NESCAFE Dolce Gusto capsules
Vanilla Marshmallows and/or 1/4 teaspoon vanilla 

 Directions
Make coffee as directed with the NESCAFE Dolce Gusto Machine.
Stir in vanilla and/or vanilla marshmallows.
Drink!

 Mama Only Chocolate Cinnamon Chococino 

 Ingredients
Chococino NESCAFE Dolce Gusto capsules
1 shot of any flavored cinnamon liqueur
Marshmallows

Snowflake Hot Cocoa Holiday Drink Recipe

I love warm, holiday drinks. How about you? I'm a huge fan of coffee house Christmas drinks but to save money I try and make my own at home. This one is so good and taste just like the peppermint mocha at Starbucks. Enjoy this drink and check below for more of my 30 Days of Christmas goodies.
Snowflake Hot Cocoa-This is for the slow cooker which makes it idea for holiday parties! 

 Ingredients

 2 c. whipping cream
6 c. milk
1 t. vanilla extract
11-oz pkg. white chocolate chips
Garnish: whipped cream, chocolate syrup, candy canes, crushed creme de menthe, instant coffee, marshmallows, chocolate slivers

 Directions

 In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients except garnish. Cover and cook on low setting for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally, until chocolate chips are melted. Stir before serving; garnish as desired. Makes 12 servings.

 My take on the recipe: I love the idea of having this in the crock pot. I have a hot cocoa and hot drink station at my open house. I serve my hot holiday drinks in Christmas mugs which I have collected over the years, people have given me as gifts or that I have picked up at garage sales.  Each year people come and find a favorite mug and fill it with their favorite warm beverage. {Holiday Drinks} Easiest Egg Nog Recipe Ever and it is Egg Free

Everyone in my family love egg nog. It is one of our most favorite cold holiday drinks. I've been making this egg free egg nog recipe for as long as I can remember! It was one of the first recipes I served at my Christmas Open House. It is a keeper and everyone loves it. I always run out of this drink at my holiday parties. I can never make enough.
