{Summer Drink Recipe} Green Grape Spritzer

Summer drink recipes are my specialty this week! I hope that you've taken the time to check them out and make a few! This one I have not made but will soon. Now that you have some new recipes, host a party and you feature these easy drink recipes for your guest! Oh and tell the guest to bring the appetizers!

Green Grape Spritzer

Ingredients:

6 oz sparkling water
2 tsp agave
6 fresh pressed green grapes
Ice

Directions:

1-Press grapes through a strainer to get fresh grape juice.
2-Mix agave into the grape juice.
3-Add one ristretto extraction
4-Top off with ice and sparkling water

Kitchen Notes
This is once again embracing clean sweet coffee flavor as opposed to the milky/rich/chocolaty ones we are used to. Cold coffee can be clean and refreshing. Pairing it with the juicy flavors of green grapes emphasizes that sparkling water livens everything up.

With the temperature outside rising, take your morning (or afternoon) pick-me-up and add some ice! To add a little adventure to your average coffee lineup, try out some new and refreshing mix-ups from KRUPS. {Summer Drink Recipe} Affogato

Summer is here and we are having fun with cool, refreshing summer drink recipes. What is your favorite summer drink? If you are a coffee lover, this is one drink recipe you will what to try right away! Let me know so of your favorite drinks in the comments below.

Affogato

Ingredients:

Espresso
One large scoop of your favorite ice cream

One of the truly great joys of having an espresso machine in your home is the ability to make affogatos at a whim. There are few things lovelier in this world than espresso pulled over ice cream. The basic concept is pretty simple, espresso + vanilla ice cream, but there are a million ways to make it more exciting. Add chocolate ganache or caramel. Try different ice cream flavors, or even sorbets or sherbets. Add nuts or other toppings. An affogato can be the perfect dessert.

{Summer Drink Recipe} Orange Rosemary Shakerato

I always think of an orange as a winter fruit but when it comes to adding them into frozen drinks they make tasty summer drink recipes. Don't you agree? Oranges are so fresh, sweet and vibrant and go so well with ice. This drink recipe includes rosemary, which I love for the freshness it adds to recipes.

Orange Rosemary Shakerato

Ingredients:

Espresso
1 teaspoon orange zest
A tiny sprig of rosemary
1 tablespoon simple syrup
Ice
Cocktail shaker

Directions:

1-Put syrup, zest and rosemary leaves in the bottom of a cup.
2-Pull espresso on top.
3-Stir and add to a cocktail shaker packed with ice.
4-Shake vigorously and strain.

Kitchen Notes:
1-Shakeratos are awesome. Short, cold and foamy, they are as perfect a summer time drink as exists. You can do lots of different variants of the shakerato, but this one is to herald the coming of warm weather. Orange and rosemary are vibrant flavors with aromatics to suit such a short, flavorful drink.
2-You can substitue strong coffee for the espresso.

With the temperature outside rising, take your morning (or afternoon) pick-me-up and add some ice! To add a little adventure to your average coffee lineup, try out some new and refreshing mix-ups from KRUPS. Thai Iced Coffee with Coconut Milk

{Summer Drink Recipe} Thai Iced Coffee with Coconut Milk

What are some of your favorite cool, summer drinks? In the summer do you prefer your coffee hot or cold? When it comes to coffee in the morning I will always be a hot coffee drinker. If I go get coffee at a coffee shop, it will almost always be hot or extra hot. I do though, enjoy cold coffee drinks when we eat out or at home during the day. My teens love cold coffee drinks and often have the blender going in the summer just to make a fun summer drink recipe

Thai iced coffee with coconut milk

Ingredients:

Espresso
3 oz cold water
1 Tablespoon simple syrup
A few leaves of mint
2 oz coconut milk
Ice

Directions:

1-Infuse the coconut milk with mint and mix in sugar. Depending upon the coconut milk, you might need to dilute with a little water to get it to a creamy texture.

2-Pull espresso into a glass.

3-Add cold water, then ice, some will melt as it cools the espresso, diluting the drink more.

4-Pour the sweetened, mint-infused coconut milk on top.

*Coconut milk takes over the part of sweetened condensed milk, incredibly. It’s rich & flavorful and balances well with coffee flavor. The mint is great because of its ability to enliven and freshen up something so rich.

Kitchen Notes-
If you do not have expresso, you can make this with your leftover cold coffee or even make some really strong coffee just for this drink. Espresso rocks this drink but again, you don't have to use it.

With the temperature outside rising, take your morning (or afternoon) pick-me-up and add some ice! To add a little adventure to your average coffee lineup, try out some new and refreshing mix-ups from KRUPS.
