Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker Discount Code & New Christmas Holiday Tradition! #christmas #ad

What are some of your holiday traditions? Do you have any traditions you want to start? One tradition I would love to start is going to see a Holiday show every year. This can include plays, musicals and ballets! This year we are headed to the ballet in Chicago! The ballet is the Great Russian Nutcracker by the Moscow Ballet!

In 1993, Moscow Ballet toured the Great Russian Nutcracker to Washington DC, Baltimore, Syracuse, Orlando, Ft Lauderdale, New Haven, Reading and Charleston WV for the first time to critical acclaim. Directed and choreographed by Stanislav Vlasov, former soloist with the Bolshoi Ballet, and well known as a "Grand Dance Artist," the inaugural six-week tour starred principal ballerina Lillia Sabitova. It also featured the innovative rolling backgrounds first created by a St Petersburg Conservatory of Music producer, and which were the inspiration for Eisenstein's cinematic technique. Since then the annual tour has increased to include about 100 performances on the tour to cities from San Juan to Calgary, and from New York to California, traveling with two simultaneously touring companies of forty dancers each.

Would you love to take your family to the ballet? I have a special code for my readers! Here is the information! My readers can SAVE 15% Off Moscow Ballet's Nutcracker CODE: BALLET. Use this code and click HERE to check out the tickets!

Fall Pumpkin Spiced Latte Hot & Cold Healthier Recipes

Today my MOVE EVERY DAY group is celebrating the half way point! We've been moving more every day for the month of September. We are learning new ways to get started on a healthier journey and motivating each other daily to keep going.

Want in the group? Leave a comment with an email, find me at my office, Coach SusieQTpies or email me at susieqtpies@beachbodycoach.com and I'll let you know when the next one starts up!

Since it is the half way point we are celebrating the typical American way with FOOD! Food that is healthier or more nutrient dense than let's say a snickers bar (haha now you want one, right?)

My group will share recipes that are on the healthier side. I know that I don't need any extra temptations this week to make something not so healthy! Below are 2 recipes for Pumpkin! Pumpkin season is going full force! The warm version has half the calories as your typical latte and the cold version is so healthier you won't even realize it is a meal in a glass! I'll share some of our favorite healthier recipes again this week! So stop back in!  Enjoy!

Remember if you want more info on the MOVE EVERY DAY GROUP or our HEALTHIER EATING group email me or leave a comment with your email. We will be starting up new groups soon!

This is the healthier version aka way less sugar of the typical pumpkin spice latte. This one has half the calories of your favorite pumpkin fall treat. Thanks to Beachbody for sharing the recipe.

Easy EGGY Tostadas - Healthy Recipe #MakeTime365

Healthy eating at home is one of my specialties! Over the past 4 years I've been on a healthier journey which has included learning to exercise, learning to cook healthier food and sharing this with friends & family. Our home has been transformed from box, processed foods to fresh meat, fruits, veggies and whole grains. It has been a fun journey!

I've been a bit distracted the past year or so and have not shared all of my healthy tips here on my blog! If you've been following me, I've started posting and sharing more. I hope that my post are helpful to you and your family! Follow my social media channels for more healthy ideas. Links are on the right side bar!

Today I'm sharing Healthy, Easy EGGY Tostadas. It is an easy go to meal for breakfast or anytime of the day.

Easy Eggy Tostadas

Ingredients

1-2 soft boiled eggs
Salsa or Pico de Gallo
Whole Jalapeños with Carrots & Onions, can
Fresh Cilantro
Fresh Jalapeños
Tostada

Directions

1- Boil eggs. My tips is to add eggs in a pan, cover with water. Turn heat on medium and set time for 13 minutes. When timer buzzes, take eggs off heat and cover with cold water to cool and peel. Add smashed eggs on top of tostada.

2-Make Pico de Gallo or grab your favorite salsa. Add on top of eggs.

3- Blend the can of jalapeños/carots/onions and add as much as you want on your tostada.

4-Chop fresh jalapeños and cilantro. Add some on top of tostada.

That is it! Simple & easy! This recipe is for one. Easy tostada hold 1-2 eggs.

Do you eat on the 21 Day Fix food plan

One tostada is a Yellow, 2 eggs is one Red, 1/4 of an avocado is 1 blue, 1/2 green for the salsa/pico/jalapeños. I like eating an entire green so I add extra veggies to my plate and eat it. Need info on the 21 Day Fix then click the link!

Real People Real Health Changing Results with Healthy Recipes

Do you ever wonder who all those people are when you see weight loss before and after photos? If you log into my Team Beachbody Site you will see a lot of these success stories. Anyone who drinks Shakeology and/or who has purchased Beachbody programs can submit results in the "Beachbody Challenge". On our website these are real people like you and I who have worked through a program and have shared results. When you do that you get free stuff depending on the program you used. Everyone qualifies to win money, too! They give money away all the time for those submitting results. SOOOO the reason why I bring this up because here is a Shakeology result from my friend Julia B. She is on my team. She is a real person, wife & mom.

I personally am going on 2 years of Shakeology. I've also worked most of the programs available with Beachbody. I have yet to share a success story on the site but I will some day! I do share here on my blog and on Facebook & Instagram. You will see me sharing my results on Beachbody soon though! I've learned that this is a journey of many many small changes that will add up to a healthier life in my 40 and beyond years. I wish that I would have started earlier in life getting healthy. I have accepted that I didn't and going forward I want to feel better. Remember no one gained all their extra weight over night. It is a journey to remove the extra weight and create a stronger, healthier body. Just message me and I can help you do the same! Feel free to click any links in this post to get to me or email me at cafescrapper at gmail dot com.

Need some motivation to keep plugging away in hopes that Shakeology really will change your life? Let me introduce you to Julia B.

Overweight, depressed, and lethargic, Julia struggled to lose her baby weight while dealing with the stress of taking care of a newborn. More than anything, Julia wanted to take her life back and regain control of her eating habits.

Julia completed a handful of Beachbody programs, and while they reshaped her muscles and blasted fat, the real game-changer for her was Shakeology. Once she started drinking it daily, she felt energized, no longer craved sugary foods, and regained her confidence.

What she loves most about Shakeology is being able to get all her nutrients and superfoods in ONE SHAKE.

Join the September Challenge to Move Every Day #MoveEveryDay

Today is Day 1 of the Move Every Day September Challenge. I am hosting a small private group which you are welcome to be apart of. Just leave a comment with your email address or send me an email at cafescrapper @ gmail . com and I will add you to the group. I will post daily here on my blog with the challenge so feel free to leave comments here as well. I will also update my Facebook page and other social media sites to set reminders that I have posted.

Welcome to the Challenge. I originally advertised this challenge group as Move 1 Mile a Day. I changed the name to Move Every Day for a reason.  Below I explain the start of my healthier lifestyle journey and the reasoning for the change of name!

In the spring of 2012 I had had enough of feeling yucky, achy, depressed, restricted, isolated, etc. I stepped on a scale and I had never seen that weight on a scale. Instead of crying and eating more I started walking. I told myself that every day for 4 weeks I would just walk around the track at my gym. I had a free month trial and if I did that then I would try something else. To put the track in perspective, it took 18 times around for 1 mile. could barely walk 2 laps at a time and I would have to sit down. My heart was racing and sweat was pouring off of me. A baby could have crawled faster than I walked. After 6 months of this I could then could walk and run it over 3 miles at a time and I'd even go outside and walk/run 5+ miles at a time. So I'm here to tell you that if YOU want to feel better and if YOU want to build up strength & endurance and if YOU want to drops some pounds and build muscle then YOU can do this. Start today. If you already exercise then please participate by walking, running or exercising every day for the month.

Soooooo I changed the name of the challenge because you don't have to start at a mile....you just need to start. I planned on changing the name all along once the group got started. I had it at a mile just to see what type of responses aka excuses I would get. So many of us were quitting before even starting because the goal was not their own. Does that make sense? If it isn't your goal it isn't going to happen. If it isn't your why it won't happen.

I ask 2 things from you today-----

#1 What is your WHY? Why do you want to do the challenge to move every day?

#2 Set a goal. Goals can change, be broken, modified but you have to give your mind a goal to work on this month of September. It is a goal for the next 30 days. Just like I said my goal was to walk every day. That is all I did. I walked. I didn't count steps, miles or time. After that I set a new goal. You make your own goal. ****Only requirement is that the goal be something that moves your body more than you have been moving it. So think about it and write it down. I can help you with ideas but just write something down!

So- write your 2 goals below. This will be done so we can help each other achieve it and makes us accountable!
Have a great day and I'm happy that each and everyone of you took a chance to read this and to participate. If you want in the private group, email me at cafescrapper @ gmail. com or leave an email below in the comments. You can also follow my other social media sites to keep up with the challenge.

Little Fit Athletes Support Local Special Olympian #spon #JustAKidFrom

This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks/POWERADE and my own honest opinions & photos are shared.

This past spring my little club fitness athletes from our local Health Center got together with their families and participated in the Special Olympics Torch Relay with local Special Olympian athlete, Melissa. We were given a course to run with the Special Olympics Torch. The torch was passed to us and we ran with it until it was time to pass off to the next leg. All of the little ones throughly enjoyed participating in this event. Not only did we do it to show that we are a physically active group but we did it to support our local athlete on her journey to the Special Olympics, where she participated in the Softball Throw Event.

We learned that everyone can be an athlete when they try their best at something that they enjoy. All the athletes in our club have the potential to be happy, healthy, and fit. Not only for themselves but they can also inspire others along the way. By participating in such an event, these little fit athletes inspired their community and Special Olympian Melissa to go compete in her sport and be the best she can be. It is amazing that "just a kid" can do all of this!

As parents, we can support our athletes in a lot of ways including:

  • Carpool them to events.
  • Cheer for them.
  • Help them practice their sport.
  • Provide fuel by preparing healthy meals, snacks and keeping them hydrated.
  • Support the coach and other adults involved in the sport.

Companies do support young athletes, too! POWERED believes with the right motivation, our everyday athletes can realize their potential and inspire others around them just like our little fit athletes did with Melissa. Sports do have a major impact on communities. Just look at how much time & money is dedicated to sports programs. Sometimes we think that too much money can be spent on such programs but that thinking is offset by the need for our youth to be "just a kid" in the community, keep active & fit, and bring a community together. For sporting events, all ages get together to support local athletes no matter if it is t-ball, summer swimming, youth club basketball, high school football, dance team or Tae Kwon Doe. Every athlete counts and they will have stories to tell of experiences for years to come.

"Just A Kid" apparel can be purchased for local athletes where all net proceeds go to Boys & Girls Club of America. This completes the circle of "just a kid" from our community inspiring and helping "just a kid" from somewhere else!

For hydration, check out this Walmart/POWERADE offer for a FREE "Just a Kid" Sports Bottle.
  • When shoppers purchase two 8-packs of 20 oz. POWERADE at Walmart, they'll be able to go online, submit their receipt, and order a FREE custom "Just a Kid" reusable sports bottle!
  • Go to http://www.us.powerade.com/walmart/#pov2 to learn more about this offer. It is good until April 4, 2016 or while supplies last.
