10 Tips for Working Out While Pregnant #MakeTime

Whenever I see a pregnant mom working out I cheer loudly for her and her baby! I think this is wonderful! Honestly if I knew back 20 years ago what I know today about how out of shape I was going to get I would have exercised when I was pregnant. How about you? Did you exercise when you were pregnant? Will you plan to exercise if you get pregnant? I'd love to know. Even when you are pregnant you can make time to exercise.

Check out the post to get the full scoop but here are some of her tips and a few other tips from some pregnant moms that I know. When you work out while you are pregnant you are building muscle, increasing your endurance and building up strength to carry you through your pregnancy, childbirth and give you a quicker recovery time.

Top 10 Tips for Working Out While Pregnant

#1- Check out Camille's recommended Pregnancy Exercise DVD's. These look great.

#2- Walk- No matter if you are pregnant or not, you can walk!

#3 - Talk to your Doctor before you start an exercise plan or if you already exercise let them know what you do.

#4 - Drink water. This is recommended for all who exercise to keep it up doing pregnancy and especially when exercising.

#5 - Sleep- Get it now!

#6 - Listen to your body- Don't overwork and be flexible with how much you work out each day. I super recommend those DVD's up in #1.

#7 - Pick your Exercise or try a variety -Walk, Jog, Swim, Pilates, Yoga and ridding an indoor bike are some of the recommended methods of exercises for pregnant women. Refer back to #3 if you are new to exercise.

#8 - Breath- The key is to no over exert yourself when exercising. You don't want to be gasping for air.

#9 - DON'T be flat on the Back- Everything thing that I read tells that this is a super no no for mom. It is recommended that you use a stability exercise ball.

#10 -Don't push through any pain- Call your doctor if you are in any pain.
