Christmas Goodie Link up and $100 CSN Giveaway

This week I'm sharing with you a recipe from treats I just had this past weekend.  My friend Kristi is always cooking and baking up something DELISH!  She made a caramel bar recipe that she got from a mutual friend, Glenda(Step by step directions).  I've seen this recipe before but didn't think it was one I would ever make. Well after tasting them I knew it was a keeper! So here it goes!

CARAMEL BARS

Ingredients

42 caramels
7 Tbsp milk
1 1/3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. oats
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. chocolate chips

Directions
1) Melt caramels and milk
2) Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, salt.  Then cut in butter.
3) Pat down 2/3 of the flour mixture into a 9 X 13 pan and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
4) Pull out of oven and add the chocolate chips on top of baked crust.
5) Add melted caramel mixture.
6) Top with remaining flour mixture and bake for 15 more minutes.

That simple! That tasty!
