{Warm Drink} Creamy Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix

This is our very favorite Homemade Hot Cocoa Mix. We serve this warm drink all winter for a yummy, tummy warming drink. It is super easy to make and you can add in different toppings to make it your way! If you have a favorite warm drink recipe please share below.

Creamy Hot Cocoa Mix

I have been making this mix for over 15 years. This is the best warm drink and the only way we drink hot cocoa.

Ingredients

1 large container of powdered Creamer (plain unless you want to get one of the new yummy flavors)
1 large container of Nestle's Quik
1 lb powdered sugar
1 small box of powered milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon or nutmeg
Whipped topping

Directions

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl or jar with a lid except whipped topping. That is it!
To serve: Grab your favorite holiday mug and use 1/4-1/2 cup of this mixture with 1 cup of hot water. Very yummy and creamy.

Top your cocoa with whipped topping, cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg or powdered sugar.  Cinnamon sticks or peppermint sticks are wonderful additions to this drink.

Tradition in my home at the holiday's include Christmas mugs. I have a collection that I put out right after Thanksgiving. Everyone selects their own mug to enjoy their special drink.

  1. This looks terrific. There's nothing like hot cocoa on a cold wintery day! This would also be great to give as gifts all packaged up in a pretty jar.

  3. Love it. We do this from time to time. A fun thing to do with this is to put individual servings in decorative packaging to give as gifts. Thanks for sharing. I'm following your blog now, too.

  5. This Creamy Hot Cocoa Mix sounds soooo yummy! Could you clarify for me though how many ounces are in the "large containers" of Nestle's Quik and powdered creamer? also what the yield (how many quarts it makes) of the "small box" of dried milk is? Wal-Mart has 3 sizes of Quik and I think it was 4 of the creamer.

Thanks so much! I'm going to give this away to my kids' families this year, they will love it.
