This is a great book! Believe it or not, you dont' have to be a great artist to do face painting. There are lots of step-by-step video tutorials around online. Check out these ones for example:

Those are impressive. The best ones are the ones where the shape of the hand or the skin texture works for the animal (like the elephant and giraffe). The painting of a cat on the hand seems a bit pointless.
