Happy Friday! Bamboola Frozen Drink

(LINKY CLOSED)
I'm making 2012 more random! Every Friday I'm going to pick a subject, post a recipe and include a link up! Link up anything related to that topic. This Friday I'm hosting "Link up a Drink" and I"m featuring one of our favorite adult beverages- it is so cool and refreshing. We call it "slush" or the formal name, Bamboola. I've been making this tasty frozen drink since 2000. So have fun with me today and link up any drink or drink related post!

Cheers! Happy Friday!
(I'm looking for some Happy Friday co-host/sponsors. Check my PR Friendly/Contact page to let me know if you want to join in. I will have the post live Thursday night at 7pm)

This is a really fun & entertaining drink for adults! You can leave out the alcohol and make it a virgin drink!

Bamboola

Ingredients

1 fifth bourbon or whiskey (optional)
1 large can pineapple juice
1 2-liter 7-UP
1 10 oz can frozen orange juice
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 16 oz jar cherries with juice

Directions

Melt the sugar with the water. Add sugar & rest of the ingredients into a large plastic container that has a lid. Put in the freezer and let freeze for 4 hours and then give it a stir, breaking up any chunks. Let freeze until it is as frozen & slushy as you want it. Makes 2 gallons.

Kitchen Notes

IF you are not adding alcohol, don't let it freeze as long.

Thanks for the invite. The perfect theme for my peppermint sugar cubes and coffee.

Thanks so much for the invite. However, I have tried to link up twice and for some reason there isn't a thumbnail. I will try again later.
