Easter Goodies in a Jar

We love Easter and Springtime at my home! Spring brings brighter colors, lighter recipes and more healthier family outdoor activities like hiking.
Easter Recipes

Hop to it and create this very tasty project with your kids! This is a fun gift in a jar idea which can be made and shared. I love the fact that PEEPS are around for most major holidays so this recipe can be used if you substitue the sweet bunnies for hearts, ghost, etc. You can also grab seasonal M&Ms for this project, too! If you make these jars to giveaway, make sure to create one for your Easter meal!

Holiday in a Jar (click to go to printable)

Ingredients

1 package graham crackers, crushed
8 PEEPS
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 cups M & Ms
1 Mason Jar with lid

Directions

Mix together graham crackers and brown sugar. Pour into jar.
Take PEEPS and put them all around the inside of the jar.
Pour in M&Ms and seal jar.

Copy the below instructions and tie to jar with a pretty matching ribbon!

Jar Instructions

Preheat oven to 350F
Empty jar contents into a bowl.
Cut PEEPS into small pieces
Add 1/2 cup of melted butter
Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Mix well.
Pat into a greased 8 X 8 baking dish
Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Let cool completely and then cut into bars.

Easter Goodies

My 12 year old did these all on her own. She made the jar at Girl Scouts and then came home and baked the treats. They were tasty!  We decided that once baked, this recipe would be tasty broken up over ice cream!!  Enjoy and have fun doing these for other holidays! HOP to it!

Here is our Easter Smore with PEEPS idea, too!
