3 day Cleanse Book Review

The 3-Day Cleanse: Drink Fresh Juice, Eat Real Food, and Get Back into Your Skinny Jeans
The book, The 3-Day Cleanse, is about drinking fresh juice, eating real food and getting back into your skinny jeans! I've noticed that the cleanse products and books are really popping up all over the place.

From the back cover:

Celebrities, personalities, and thousands across the U.S. regularly do the BluePrintCleanse to rid themselves of the toxins and excess that we are all exposed to every day.  Countless national publications have raved about this easy and effective program.  Now, you can do the coveted BluePrintCleanse at home-no matter your lifestyle, schedule, or budget.  Using pure food and fresh juice, The 3-Day Cleanse is a customized plan tailored to your personal health and goals. Delicious and energizing, it promises dramatic results.
  • step-by-step guidelines for 1-Day, 3-Day, 5-Day, and 10-Day Cleanses and long-term maintenance plans for beginners and veterans alike
  • simple instructions to follow before, during, and after your Cleanse
  • more than 100 easy-to-make recipes for juices, salads, soups, entrees, side dishes, and more
  • detailed information on what to eat and when in order to enhance overall digestion
I found that the book is divided into The Program and The Recipes.   If you ever wondered what the Cleanse was all about and even considered it, this book is top notch at explaining!  This would be a great resource for your local library, too.  I'd check and see if they had a copy for you to check out and if not ask them if they can order it.

Did you know that the feces that result at the end of digestion is a way of your body getting rid of toxins and unnecessary material?  Your body does this, too, with urine, sweat, and breath.  All of this depends on the working of your intestines, liver, kidney and skin.  This book simply explains your body and the functions from your mouth to your bathroom breaks. The book also explains the science behind the Cleanse.

The recipes are awesome! Ever heard of Cucumber and Corn soup? How about Grapefruit Avocado Salad with Tarragon Vinaigrette? They proclaim that they are salad snobs and include their recommended dressing with each salad! How about Salsa Salad? I'm hoping to make this salad this week for dinner.  One of the first dinners that caught my attention was the Asian Cold Noodles with Spicy Almond Dressing. This recipe is labeled as a Chinese restaurant classic that gives you energy instead of an inducing food coma!
