This is our favorite, family passed down recipe. The only change that I made from Grandma B's recipe is that I add apple cider to the recipe. It really add something extra to the dish!
Apple Crisp
1 c. brown sugar
1 T. cinnamon
1 T. nutmeg
12 apples, cored, peeled, sliced
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. instant oats
1 stick butter, very soft
3/4 c. apple cider or apple juice
Lightly grease 13 X 9 baking dish. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg in a bowl and toss in apples to coat. Pour into baking dish. Mix flour, sugar, oats and butter in bowl. Evenly drop over apples Pour in cider and cover with foil. Bake 375 for 45 min. Take off foil after 20 minutes.
Serve with cream or ice cream! Tasty!
