Time to get Healthing with Spring Cleaning Tips

Healthing is a new concept used to focus on not just cleaning our home but doing it in such a way we are keeping our family well. What are your Spring cleaning tips and how are you going to keep your family healthy this Spring?
Healthing

Yes it is time to Spring clean! I love spring cleaning and look forward to it every year. This year, thanks to LYSOL and their new Healthing Initiative, I'm looking forward to it even more. I've been married almost 20 years and have 3 teenage daughters. Never once in all these years have I thought of spring cleaning as a way of making my family healthy or that I was taking steps to keep them healthy. How about you? Is this concept new to you, too?

This winter we have all had the flu in various forms. It was one of our worst years for getting sick. I felt as though it was one of my healthier years since I have been exercising and cooking healthier meals but the viruses still found their way to me and my family. With this new way of thinking, I am now focused on not just the need to clean but by cleaning I'm protecting my family for what will try and attack us this Spring.
Lysol

Some of the products that I will be using to integrate Healthing into our home are from the LYSOL product line because they are known to kill 99.9% of germs. This will help ensure that I properly disinfect commonly touched and used surfaces and prevent the spread of bacteria and virus between one another at home. I have stocked up on LYSOL Disinfecting Wipes, LYSOL No Touch Hand Soap System and LYSOL Disinfectant Spray for the kitchen and all the bathrooms as well as their own paper towels and trash bags.

Here are my Spring Cleaning tips. Please share yours in the comments!
  • I'm not going to just declutter but kill the germs in each room.
  • Wipe down each surface including all the nook and crannies
  • Dust around photographs and wall art.
  • I'll use the LYSOL Disinfecting Wipes to get at those hard to reach spots and overlooked high traffic touched spots like light switches, door knobs and car keys.
  • With teens, we'll clean all electronics which include keyboards, cell phones, laptops, printer, hair straighteners, make up containers, and remote controls.
  • We will also wipe down all the desk, pencils, pens and all the other supplies that gets touched.
  • Spring clean and Healthing the cars, too. All teens will do the same to their cars.
Television personality Giuliana Rancic has partnered with LYSOL to visit YMCAs in select areas to teach Healthing education. The attendees with get a fun, hands-on education on what to use and what to clean at home and why they need to do it. Local YMCAs will benefit with this information, products and free membership for a deserving family. You can participate and learn more about the Healthing Initiative, too!  Check out their Website, Facebook page and Guidebook

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for LYSOL®. I received a promotional item to thank me for participating.

  1. My only spring cleaning tips is to "Go Natural" this year. When you’re doing this much cleaning, it’s important to use products that won’t engulf you in harmful fumes. Some chemical cleaners can actually become toxic when mixed with others. A mixture of vinegar and baking soda is a great natural alternative.
